Experience

PARCELFORCE

National and International Hubs - These facilities have been operational for over 10 years and incorporate complex sortation systems which perform a vital role within the Parcelforce Network. Corelogix was assigned to review the equipment, its configuration and operation, and reported back on opportunities to increase the site processing potential, reduce operational costs and provide a strategy to ensure the site can continue to meet the demands of the business over the coming years.

HDNL

National Distribution Centre - Development and Procurement Management of National Parcel Hub, circa 30,000 parcels per hour capacity.

YODEL

Small Parcel Sorter - Design, procurement management and implementation support for 9,000/hour small parcel sorter. The project was fast tracked to be ready in time for the seasonal peak. Furthermore, an opportunity was identified to adjust the sorter design to actually deliver circa 12,000/hour for a minimal increase in investment.

Regional Sortation Centre - Operational review of the existing sortation centre and the subsequent development and implementation of a strategy to increase the site capability by 50% with minimal investment.

Existing National Hub – Operational review, strategy development, and implementation to eliminate bottlenecks and liberate a 20% increase in processing capability.

New National Sort Centre – To meet the growth demands of the newly formed Yodel business a new National Sortation Hubs was required. We supported the re-development of an existing facility located in Wednesbury, West Midlands, providing assistance in the following areas:

CAPGEMINI

Nike China - National Distribution Centre - Providing specialist technical support to Capgemini's Supply Chain Team, developing the Materials Handling infrastructure design, Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation, and supported the procurement team throughout the tendering and bid evaluation period. The resultant system for processing footwear and apparel orders, incorporated over 10km of conveyor and three sortation systems.

MATALAN

RDC redevelopment - Providing specialist support to the Capgemini Supply Chain Team in the development of a Hanging Garments system for Store Replenishment and Ecommerce order fulfilment.

RUBBERMAID

NDC Re-development - Centralising the order fulfilment and distribution of the diverse brands within the Newell Rubbermaid group placed massive stresses on their Fradley facility, which contained a legacy system from their previously owned Swish business. After carrying out analysis of the operation and identifying the requirements for the new "combined" businesses a strategy was developed to re-configure the existing equipment. On site support was provided for the implementation stage which had to be carefully planned within their on-going operation and to offset some of the project costs a buyer was found for their existing sortation system which was not required for the new operation.

NIKE

New Equipment Sorter – Business growth made re-locating the Equipment Order Fulfilment facility to a new site necessary. Corelogix provided the design expertise to develop the ITT and worked closely with Nikes engineering and procurement teams during evaluation and supplier selection. Further support was provided during implementation and the project went live just 5 months from inception.

Footwear Carton Store – To support the planned operational growth, a new high density, high capacity, rapid access carton store was required. Working closely with the Nike project team, comprehensive plans were developed for a multi-level Miniload store and routing conveyor system, all integrated into the operation, and to be installed/commissioned with no disruption to the business.
